Assemble 0825 at London St Pancras for 0924 departure on Eurostar and TGV via Paris, arriving Dijon 1632. Transfer to Hotel de la Poste, Beaune, for four nights. Welcome and introduction.
Morning orientation tour of Beaune, including Hotel Dieu (founded 1443 by Nicolas Rolin and the site of van der Weyden’s Last Judgement) and Musée du Vin de Bourgogne. Afternoon: visit to La Moutarderie Fallot (mustard mill) including tasting, followed by some free time. Evening lecture followed by performance featuring Les Arts Florissants and William Christie: pasticcio of operatic arias by Handel, Vivaldi & Rameau.
Morning lecture followed by wine tasting and lunch at La Table du Comte Senard (including wine cellar). Afternoon: guided tour of Clos du Vougeot. Some free time and independent dinner followed by evening performance featuring Accademia Bizantina and Ottavio Dantone: Handel Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno.
Morning lecture followed by an excursion to Autun (Musée Rolin, Cathedral St Lazare). Evening performance featuring Choeur de Chambre de Namur & Cappella Mediterranea and Leonardo Garcia Alarcón: Bach Magnificat.
Transfer to Dijon for 1201 departure on TGV and Eurostar via Paris, arriving St Pancras 1739.

FITNESS / PRACTICALITIES
This tour is not expected to be especially strenuous, however participants should be prepared to traverse uneven pavements and cobbles, as well as walk for between one and two hours. The performances all begin at 2100 and will be balanced by later, leisurely mornings.
