Tour assembles at The Yorkshire Hotel, Harrogate, for four nights. 1430 orientation walking tour of Harrogate followed by welcome and introduction to the tour. Evening lecture: Gilbert & Sullivan.

Morning lecture: Introduction to The Yeomen of the Guard, followed by guest talk with Bernard Lockett, Trustee of the Gilbert & Sullivan Festival: The Heritage of Gilbert & Sullivan. Afternoon festival fringe event (subject to confirmation). Evening festival performance featuring Forbear! Theatre: The Yeomen of the Guard.

Morning lecture: Introduction to Patience and The Mikado. Afternoon matinee festival performance featuring the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company: Patience. Evening festival performance featuring the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company: The Mikado.

FITNESS / PRACTICALITIES
This not a particularly strenuous tour but participants should meet ACE’s usual fitness criteria. There is a short but busy walk from the hotel to the Royal Hall, and participants will be required to navigate the stairs at the Royal Hall.
