Bulgarian and Serbian Monasteries
For the second year in a row I will have the privilege of visiting Bulgaria and Serbia with two ACE groups in fairly quick succession. Spring is a great time to come to this part of the world, even though one can always be surprised by some capricious weather – I remember some beautiful snow-capped mountains even in the very South of Bulgaria last year!

Portugal Beckons: a travelogue from Lisbon
Christopher Catling has just returned from Lisbon where he spent Christmas and New Year preparing to lead ACE's March 2017 tour of Portuguese palaces and gardens. Here he reports that Lisbon is in the midst of a building boom, but that some aspects of Portuguese culture never change.
