Stella Grace Lyons is a freelance Art History lecturer and speaker accredited with The Arts Society (previously NADFAS). She lectures regularly throughout the UK, Europe, and in Asia.
Stella gained her BA in the History of Art with a 1st class in her dissertation from the University of Bristol (2007-2011), and her MA in History of Art at the University of Warwick. She spent a year studying Renaissance art in Italy at the British Institute of Florence, and three months studying Venetian art in Venice. In addition, she attended drawing classes at the prestigious Charles H. Cecil studios in Florence.
Her particular interests include 19th Century British art, the Italian and Renaissance, American figurative artists from the 20th century and the representation of the nude in art. In addition to her lecturing work, Stella is a regular model for the internationally renowned artist Harry Holland.
Stella is also a part-time lecturer for the University of South Wales, and writes about art for several publications.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Stella has moved her work online, running a successful series of online lectures, ’Stella Talks’, and regular Art History courses via Zoom. These are broadcast to audiences across the world and can be found on her website: www.stellagracelyons.co.uk
