Itinerary

Day

1

Assemble 1600 at Worcester railway station or 1700 at The Feathers Hotel, Ledbury, for two nights. Welcome drink and introductory lecture.

Day

2

Morning: Church of St Mary in Kilpeck, St Peter’s Church in Rowlstone and Dore Abbey. Afternoon: Church of St Mary Magdalene in Stretton Sugwas, St George’s Church in Brinsop. Evening lecture: The Herefordshire School of Romanesque Sculpture: People & Places.

Day

3

Morning: Ledbury Master’s House followed by Leominster Priory and St Giles in Pipe Aston. Afternoon: Hereford Cathedral (remains of the Romanesque capitals) and St Giles Hospital (12th-century tympanum). Tour disperses 1430 at hotel or 1600 at Worcester railway station via visit to St Michael in Castle Frome (intricately carved 12th-century font).
