Itinerary

Day

1

Check in 1400 at Parliament House Hotel, Edinburgh, for six nights. 1430 walking tour of New Town (St Andrew’s Square, George Street, Heriot Row, Moray Place and Charlotte Square) followed by organ recital at St Stephen’s Centre. Evening: private drinks reception in Moray Place.

2

Morning: organ recital at Dalmeny Kirk. Afternoon: tour and piano recital at Arniston House. Evening lecture: "Edinburgh Characters". Free evening.

3

New Year’s Eve Morning: organ recital at Canongate Kirk followed by visit to Palace of Holyroodhouse. Afternoon: Scottish National Gallery. Evening celebratory dinner followed by optional viewing of fireworks display from Calton Hill (close to hotel).

4

New Year’s Day Morning: piano recital at the Edinburgh Society of Musicians. Afternoon: Scottish National Portrait Gallery. Free evening.

5

Morning: organ recital at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral Song School. Afternoon: Edinburgh Royal Choral Union New Year Messiah concert at the Usher Hall.

Day

6

Morning: recital at St Cecilia’s Hall (oldest purpose-built concert hall in Scotland with important historical musical instrument collection). Afternoon: National Museum of Scotland and organ recital at St Giles’s Cathedral. Evening: informal Scottish musical finale.

7

Morning: Royal Yacht Britannia. Tour disperses 1230 at the hotel.
