Depart Gatwick 0715 on British Airways, arriving Salzburg 1015. Transfer to Hotel Am Mirabellplatz for five nights. Visits to Mozart Wohnhaus, Salzburg Residenz and the Residenz Gallery, and the original archives in the Mozarteum’s Autograph Vault (guided tour). Glühwein welcome reception.
Lecture followed by morning concert with Daniel Barenboim (piano): programme to be released closer to the concert date. Afternoon: guided walking tour of Salzburg including Mozart’s birthplace.

Free afternoon. Evening concert with Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Alain Altinoglu (conductor) and Piotr Anderszewski (piano): Mozart Symphony in D major KV 297 ‘Paris’; Mozart Concerto in B major for piano and orchestra KV 595; Bizet Symphony No 1 in C major.
Lecture followed by morning concert with Hagen Quartet and Jörg Widmann (clarinet): Jörg Widmann Clarinet Quintet; Mozart Quintet in A major for clarinet, two violins, viola and cello KV 581. Afternoon concert with Robert Levin (Mozart’s fortepiano): Mozart Sonata in A major for piano KV 331, Sonata in D major for piano KV 311, Sonata movement in B major for piano KV 400, Sonata in F major for piano KV 280, Sonata in C major for piano KV 330.
