Itinerary

Day

1

Assemble 1600 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow for overnight stay. Welcome and introduction to the tour, including private recital (subject to confirmation).

Day

2

Depart Glasgow through stunning Highland scenery and past Loch Lomond for the Isle of Mull, via ferry from Oban. Transfer to Western Isles Hotel, Tobermory, for three nights. Evening festival concert.

Day

3

Whole day excursion to Iona for a visit to the Abbey founded by St Columba (including festival concert) and boat trip to Fingal’s Cave (weather permitting) on the uninhabited island of Staffa (the inspiration for Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture).

Day

4

Morning: RSPB Mull Eagle Watch. Afternoon: Duart Castle (overlooking the Sound of Mull). Evening festival concert.

Day

5

Depart Tobermory via ferry to Oban. Afternoon distillery visit and optional walk up to McCaig’s Tower, followed by festival closing concert at Oban Cathedral. Overnight stay at the Ranald Hotel, Oban.

Day

6

Depart Oban for Glasgow via Inveraray Castle. Overnight stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow.

Tour disperses after breakfast.
